Family Day: Science and Poetry

At this event, kids and their families are invited to express themselves in words and images and to learn about the world around them through poetry. Join us for hands-on activities exploring earth, animals, air, and water and take part in a Kids’ Parade around the Albert Einstein Memorial Statue (weather permitting).

Members of the public with a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport, can now visit the NAS building on weekdays between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No reservations required! See architectural highlights and the special exhibitions on view. 

Our exhibitions explore relationships among the arts and sciences, engineering, and medicine. Our public events series features staged theatrical readings, film screenings, and the D.C. Art Science Evening Rendezvous, a monthly discussion forum exploring relationships among the arts and sciences.
