A Staged Reading of "A Number"

Join Cultural Programs of the National Academy of Sciences, the Shakespeare Theatre Company, and The Science & Entertainment Exchange for a staged reading of Caryl Churchill's A Number. The renowned English playwright has created an intimate family play that explores the possibilities of human cloning and the complexity of nature versus nurture. The performance is directed by Samantha Wyer Bello, Director of Education, Shakespeare Theatre Company. The cast features Rick Foucheux and Cody Nickell.

Ann Merchant, Deputy Director of Communications, National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, will facilitate a post-show discussion with Samantha Wyer Bello and Gail Geller, Professor, Berman Institute of Bioethics and School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University.
