NAS Building, 2101 Constitution Ave., N.W.,

Free. Photo ID required.

ASL interpretation and closed captions available.

Boy, have we got a summer movie for you! Join us for food trucks, hands-on activities, and an outdoor screening of the original Westworld. Before Ed Harris was The Man in Black, Yul Brynner was The Gunslinger in Michael Crichton's 1973 sci-fi/western hybrid about a futuristic theme park populated by androids.

Starting at 7:30pm go inside the National Academy of Sciences Building to snap some photos at the Westworld selfie station and explore other hands-on activities related to AI and robotics. At 8:30pm, head outside to the NAS West lawn for the movie.

Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and we'll see you there!

7:00pm - 9:00pm: Food trucks at 22nd and Constitution, NW (Captain Cookie & the Milkman and Stella*s PopKern)

7:30pm - 8:30pm: Activities inside the NAS Building

8:30pm - 10:30pm: Westworld screening on the NAS West Lawn

This event is presented by LabX, The Science and Entertainment Exchange, and Cultural Programs, programs of the National Academy of Sciences
